I love all Christmas Carols. But I love “O HOLY NIGHT” The Best of All
Been listening to this Very Blessed Carol for more than 50 years now
Today being Christmas Eve of 2025 I want to share its Deeper Meanings to my life
O Holy night!The stars are brightly shining
It is the night of our dear Savior’s birth
Long lay the world in sin and error pining
‘Til He appeared and the soul felt its worth
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices
For yonder breaks a new and glorious morn
Fall on your knees; O hear the Angel voices!
O night divine, O night when Christ was born
O night, O Holy night, O night divine!

It starts with An Exclamation!
A Shout for Attention!
This is a Special Night! The night of our Saviour’s birth
And the Stars were brightly shining.
It went on “Long lay the world” in sin and error pining.
Yes for a very very long time since the fell of Adam, the world is longing
As described in Isaiah
Isaiah 9:2King James Version
2 The people that walked in darkness have seen a great light: they that dwell in the land of the shadow of death, upon them hath the light shined.
They were’ walking in darkness” of sin and error.
Prophet Isaiah lived around 700 B.C
700 years later the promised was fulfilled
Matthew 4:16-18King James Version
16 The people which sat in darkness saw great light; and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.
17 From that time Jesus began to preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.
After 700 long and weary years walking in darkness of sin and error they finally got very wearied and so slump down and “sat in darkness” for all have lost their way in hopelessness.
At first they walked and walked in darkness. Then they gave up and “sat in darkness”
So say the Carol
A thrill of hope the weary world rejoices
The weary world rejoices with “A thrill of hope when Christ was born”
What does Christ mean?
To the surprise of some, “Christ” is not Jesus’ last name (surname). “Christ” comes from the Greek word Christos, meaning “anointed one” or “chosen one.” This is the Greek equivalent of the Hebrew word Mashiach, or “Messiah.” “Jesus” is the Lord’s human name given to Mary by the angel Gabriel (Luke 1:31). “Christ” is His title, signifying Jesus was sent from God to be a King and Deliverer (see Daniel 9:25; Isaiah 32:1). “Jesus Christ” means “Jesus the Messiah” or “Jesus the Anointed One.”

It brings back to sweet memories of year 1980s

I Heard Angels Singing
I heard Angels Singing
Sometime in the 1980s when I was pastoring the Jesus Saves Mission in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, I had a dream.
I heard angels singing,
“When peace like a river attendeth my way,
When sorrows like sea- billows roll.
Whatever my lot, Thou hast taught me to say,
It is well, it is well with my soul”
Chorus:
It is well. With my soul. It is well, it is well with my soul”
I have never heard such wonderful, harmonious singing like this on earth! It was very soothing & spiritually uplifting. I felt my spirit lifted up heavenward! It was still dark just before day break. Early in the morning I told my wife about this strange visitation.
Few hours later I spoke in the Morning Worship Service. About 15 minutes into the sermon the Church phone rang. I saw one Hong sister picked up the phone. Then she joined the Congregation and brought news to her 2 other sisters & also her brother Hong Fun Shun. They all broke in tears. Their mother has just gone home to be with the LORD.
Immediately, I stopped preaching and told them not to be sad as God has already prepared by sending Angels to take her home.
As the singing angels descended a little too early they visited our Mission Church in KL. That’s where I heard them singing & singing.
That was more than 30 years ago today. Yet to this day I still remember the singing vividly.
In heaven singing is the Christian’s chief employment. And we will sing for ever and ever. Amen & Amen!
Yes! In many Carols of Christmas Angels were mentioned singing
And Angels are very real
Let us relate from real life’s experiences
One day in KL General Hospital
I met a man who kept staring. And staring with intent & curiosity
So i turned and asked him, “is there anything wrong?”
He replied, “Actually i wanted to come from behind you and “hit you with a hard object”. But something “unseen” or “invisible force” been holding me back. And i was very surprised”
“No surprise at all.” I told him, “I got God’s Angels’ protection.
Upon futher enquiry he told us of his predicarment. He has run out of money and now with no food nor bus fare to take back to his kampung.
So we gave him some money and told him about Jesus
That was more than 40 years ago. And there were many other instances where Angels helped us
One morning I felt a “nudge” on my shoulder. An unseen Angel wanted me to wake up early. This happened several times. I remember one morning after being nudged by “An Angel” to get up I immediately opened my eyes wide to see him. But he is invisible”
There are other instances as well. Too many to share
But listen
O HEAR THE ANGEL VOICES!!
He said, “FALL ON YOUR KNEES” Accept JESUS as MESSIAH! Receieve Him as your King of Kings
3. O NIGHT DIVINE!
To the Wisemen & to the Sheperds the night is divine
Also to all mankind, whoever got faith the night is divine!

Here is where Billions of people missed
They do not have “Faith”
Only the Wisemen, the Shepherds & countless thousands or millions which Almighty God gives “FAITH” will “SEE THE BLESSED JESUS AS CHRIST THE & KING OF KINGS! AMEN! & AMEN!! FOR EVER AND FOREVER!!
What Faith?
Faith Sees:

The Story of Jesus is this
He though being God the Son who c0-create this world with God The Father & God The Holy Spirit has come down to earth to be born as a man (without sin or error)
His purpose is to Save All Mandkind by dying for our sins on the Cross
And buried and lived again and return back to heaven, And told all to preach this Good News (Great Tidings of GREAT JOY) To come back the 2nd Time to Rule as KING OF KINGS FOREVER & EVER
But first he must Suffer. He suffered in poverty as He was born in a manger (no 5 or 6 star Hotels for Him.
